Significance of Eyes

Bekker is obsessed with the eyes of his victims. During the actual murder, Bekker studies the eyes for clues to what happens to a person's soul after death. After the murder, Bekker takes out the eyes so that the dead person will not haunt his drug induced hallucinations.
