What is the history of the friendship between Dean and Andy?

Dean and Andy met in the Cub Scouts when they were children. Dean was part of Andy's wedding party when he married Lori. The last time Dean and Andy had seen one another was four years before the narrative present, when Lori and Andy had traveled to be guests of Dean's at an ESPN party he was attending. The two men have always been great friends, but they both admit to a bit of neglect in the past few years. Dean's reasons had involved success at the time, however, in his career, while Andy's neglect had stemmed from the trauma of his divorce and his subsequent task of raising his two young daughters on his own.
