What are examples in the book of how the author juxtaposes the lifestyles of the landlords versus those of the tenants?

The author uses Tobin and Sherrena and Quentin as his main subjects representing landlords. Tobin clears over $440,000 per year off his low-income tenants. Sherrena and Quentin are clearly also well off and this is seen in their vacations and their visits to a local casino.
