Importance of Callie

Callie is a character in “Seven Stories.” She is form a Caribbean country (which the story never specifically names) and she used to be the daughter of the country’s prime minister. However, when Callie was seven years old, her father was assassinated, despite the fact that he was a very popular leader. Young Callie was then sent to temporarily live in New York City with a relative. As an adult, Callie married a politician who later became the country’s newest prime minister. Callie invites Kim to the country after reading Kim’s article, despite the fact that they have not spoken in years. Callie appears to be fairly grounded, kind, and genuine as an adult.
