Who is Diane Coslaw?

Diane Coslaw is Steven’s estranged wife in “Lunch at the Gotham Café.” Diane appears only in the scene in which the maître d’ kills her lawyer and stabs the chef of the restaurant. Steven takes her to the back of the restaurant to escape from the knife-wielding maniac. Instead of helping Steven in his plan to get them safely out of the building, Diane is childish as she claims she cannot unlock the bolts on the backdoor. She kicks Steven in the bottom as he is trying to keep the maître d’ from killing them both. After they are both safe, Diane refuses to acknowledge that Steven helped to save her life. Instead, she angrily orders him away from her and curses him. She proves Steven is better off without her.
