What are Dark Bells?

The dark bells are a symbol of a contrasting purpose. These bells are found on Jenna’s wimple in “The Little Sisters of Eluria.” The Little Sisters use the bells on their wimples to order the bug doctors to do their healing work. They want the men they hold captive healed so they can feast on their blood. Jenna, however, uses her bells for a different purpose. She calls the bugs to fight against the other Little Sisters so that she and Roland can escape.
