Importance of Steven Davis

Steven Davis is the narrator and central character in “Lunch at the Gotham Café.” Steven’s wife, Diane, leaves him and demands a divorce though he never saw anything wrong with their marriage. Even though his lawyer warns him not to do so, Steven attends a meeting with Diane and her lawyer. Steven’s lawyer was unable to attend because his mother fell and broke her hip.
