Bill’s melted glasses are a symbol of death in “That Feeling, You Can Only Say What it is in French.” In Carol’s visions or nightmares, she turns to Bill to see that his glasses are melting to his face. Carol sees the glasses melting because she and her husband are victims of a plane crash.
