Some of King’s stories follow the traditional roadmap of plot development. “The Little Sisters of Eluria” is one of these stories. The exposition comes as Roland walks around the deserted town, trying to figure out what happened to those people. The rising action comes as Roland discovers that the Little Sisters are nursing him back to health only to kill him. The climax comes when Jenna confronts her sisters to help Roland escape. The falling action comes when Roland kisses Jenna during their first night of freedom. The denouement comes when Jenna imposes her will on all of the bugs to send Roland a message to show him how special he was to her.
