We can see greed throughout the novel, The Pearl. Kino spends his life searching for the thing that will change his family's circumstances.... he even puts his family's lives in danger in order to keep it. The doctor is will to treat a child in order to get the pearl, sadly, he is willing to make the child even sicker in order to attain it. The priest thinks only of the money he can use.... the community is jealous.
