How does Enrique go about obtaining his mother's phone number in Chapter 5?

Enrique works washing cars at night to save money for a phone card. He eventually contacts a former employer of his and asks to arrange for his aunt and uncle to have contact so he can get the number. He is able to use a phone at a church in order to finally get the number from his family.
