What does the book mean and why does it matter?
There are quite a few themes. Isolation and loneliness becomes a theme in Ender's life. Throughout the novel, Graff and Mazer isolate Ender from all of the other students at Battle School and Command School. Ender is really just a boy left alone without any nurturing or emotional support.
