How does the character, Pierrot, express himself in Enchanted Night?

Perpetually heartbroken, Pierrot flings himself into a multitude of melancholy poses, which will permit him to express the full poetry of his spurned and hopeless devotion. His Columbine, confined though she is to one unvarying expression of disdain, is so lovely that he wishes to fall continually at her feet in attitudes of adoration and ruin.
