Mrs. Reynolds is a speech therapist. She works with Temple when she is just a little girl and is described as having an enormous amount of patience. She and Temple make great progress, which is only impeded by Mrs. Reynolds' use of a sharp pointer. Temple's focus on the pointer distracts her attention from her lessons.
