What metaphors are used in Embraced by the Light by Betty Eadie?

The light is a metaphor for God. Betty saw that all spirits are surrounded by a light that reflects the spirit's feelings and devotion to God. Betty moved into the light surrounding Jesus and felt that she could communicate with him simply through the mixing of their lights.
