Who is Edward VI from Elizabeth I and what is their importance?

Edward VI is Elizabeth's little brother. He is Elizabeth's half-brother, the son of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, Henry's third wife. Edward became the King of England upon his father's death in 1547. He contracts tuberculosis in 1553 and dies.
