Who is Edward VI from Elizabeth I and what is their importance?

Edward VI was Elizabeth's younger brother. He was born in October 1537, and he was crowned king in January 1647. In 1553, Edward contracted tuberculosis. He died on July 8, 1553. Upon his death, it was found that Edward altered the line of succession as determined by his father, Henry VIII. Edward's will excluded both Mary and Elizabeth from the throne.
