When Bella and Jacob are on the beach, Bella tells Jacob that she is in love with Edward. She shares her feelings for Edward with Jacob, but all Jacob can hear is that Bella is not choosing him, and that Bella is choosing to end her humanity. He argues with her saying that he's put a glamour on her, or is manipulating her.
