Who is Cory Taylor in the memoir, Dying: A Memoir?

Cory Taylor is an Australian writer who was diagnosed with stage-four melanoma. This book, her memoir, is written by Taylor after her diagnosis and introduces the author at the point in her life when she is battling weakness, pain, and other side effects of treatment and illness which have incapacitated her to the extent that she lies in bed for most of the day or sits in the living room of her home in Brisbane. She knows she is much feebler than ever before, and she has a euthanasia drug at hand in case she ever decides to commit suicide rather than die of her illness.
