What were the main differences between wyverns and dragons?

Although wyverns and dragons are similar, some of their main differences lay in intellect and in their general form. Wyverns aren't half as intelligent as dragons, and they are especially noted for cruel and chaotic natures. They are also smaller and lighter than dragons and come equipped with a scorpion tail that is capable of stinging and killing an enemy within seconds.
