There was a moment of hesitation in the pursuit of the Green Gemstone Man as Kitiara realized who all was on board. When she saw that her little brother whom she'd taught all she knew with the sword was on board, and the frail half brother she had raised from a baby. She knew Tanis was on board as well, and realized she would have to kill them all to get the Green Gemstone Man, and thus was her moment of hesitation.
