What does cold represent?

The cold air is a symbol that a ghost is near. Min feels Jang's presence as very cold air, and that is magnified when she reaches the Fourth Colony where there are many ghosts. By contrast, she feels warmth when she picks up the Dragon Pearl for the first time.
