Who is Tony from Double Standards and what is their importance?

Restaurant owner, Tony, is an old friend of the Nick's family. He and Nick's granfather have been friends for years. When Whitworth pressures Lauren for a meeting, she purposely plans the meeting at Tony's restaurant, which provides her with a witness to how everything went down. Unfortunately, Nick doesn't believe either of them.
