Who is Iris Tramm from Don't Stop the Carnival and what is their importance?

Iris Tramm is the gorgeous blonde, thirty-something, who calls the Gull Reef home. Three marriages, three divorces, and two attempts to take her own life have left her with a need for privacy, and a chance to pull herself together. Paperman and Iris show definite signs of mutual attraction, but nothing comes of it.
