Dolley is accurately portrayed as a devoted wife and mother, brilliant hostess and meticulously dressed ornament. What lurks behind, however, is a razor-sharp mind full of political savvy.... a side of herself that Dolley keeps firmly under wraps. As a result, Dolley's great attribute is knowing the value of keeping silent.
