What is Viviano Jacquez's problem?

Viviano, who is Spanish, has been subjected to too much racism and prejudice. Thus, he has turned his pain and anger toward others who are different and has become a racist himself. He wishes on a subconscious level that he could assimilate into the "pale-faced millions" of Americans.
