Mac McCullum worked as a pilot for Carpathia until he faked his death in a Quasi crash so that he could work in the Tribulation Force. Mac seems to be second in command in the Tribulation Force as he is the one who takes over the operation when Rayford loses his hearing after shooting two GC troops without first putting in earplugs.
