Who is Hattie Durham from Desecration: Antichrist Takes the Throne and what is their importance?

Hattie Durham is the young, Christian woman to whom the angel Michael appears. From this appearance, Hattie understands that she is to stand up to Carpathia at the Temple. Fortunato is able to call down a ball of fire that kills Hattie in front of the crowd. In this way, Hattie becomes a martyr for the Christian faith. After the angel Anis appears to Buck and Chaim in the Garden Tomb, Chaim collects Hattie's ashes into a small urn, which he carries with him. He later shakes Hattie's ashes into the air over Petra.
