Ming is one of the civilian scientists that President Herney sends to the Arctic to verify the authenticity of the meteorite. He is the first to discover that there seems to be a problem when he notices the presence of bioluminescent plankton in the extraction pit. Ming is also the first of the four civilian scientists to be killed by the Delta Force.
