What is your impression of Manny while he is speaking with his white friends about the conversation regarding equality?

In context, Manny doesn't appreciate the conversation and is uncomfortable with the way his supposed white friends talk. Manny, however, is unwilling to address the way they talk and chooses to ignore their statements because he is determined to maintain his status at school... he simply doesn't want to make waves.
