Tsar Nicholas II was the last Tsar of Russia. He and his family were murdered during the Bolshevik Revolution. Their bodies were disposed of and hidden from history until the fall of the Soviet Union. Maples is asked to assemble a team of forensic experts in order to examine the remains, which they determine are in fact the bodies of the Romanov family.
