Darkstalker makes Clearsight an earring that is enchanted, and this is a symbol that he believes he knows what is best, even when she expresses opposition to this. The earring makes it so that Clearsight is not able to see any of the negative futures involving Darkstalker, which makes it impossible for her to accurately predict the most likely futures. This is also a symbol of the broken trust that leads Clearsight to eventually imprison Darkstalker.
