The White and Black Sand

Colors often carry symbolism and the sand in Darkstalker's soul reader symbolizes the balance of good and evil in any dragon. In this case, however, white sand symbolizes the evil and black sand symbolizes good. It is not clear whether the device works, though it can be assumed it does.
