Sleepy is the nickname for Susannah's oldest stepbrother. He is 18 years old. His real name is Jake. He has his own vehicle. He works as a pizza delivery boy at night, but he works as a lifeguard at the same hotel resort Suze works at during the day. Sleepy is also dating Suze's boss, Caitlin, sleepy drives Suze back and forth to work at the resort. He also helps to get Suze out of trouble with Caitlin a few times throughout the novel.
