John Keats is an English romantic poet who wrote during the early nineteenth century. He is most famous for his odes, one of which – "Ode to a Nightingale" – Woolf quotes in "Craftsmanship." Keats was not widely celebrated during his own time, but has since become a prominent member of the English canon. He published 54 poems before his early death from tuberculosis at the age of 25.
