Tabatha Rowley entered prison in 1996. She was convicted of assault in the first degree. Raised in the ghettos of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Tabatha dropped out of high school when she was in the tenth grade. She later earned her GED through the Grafton Job Corps.
Tabatha is described as a gifted singer and songwriter. She is also popular with her fellow prisoners and the prison staff. She was released to a halfway house in 2001, and around that time her only surviving brother, Choo, was shot and killed.
She currently works at Friendly's and has been reunited with her son, Kevin, who is now ten. She hopes that her story will help other misguided young people change their lives and avoid ending up in prison.
