Comment on the style/ language

The language of this novel is simple English. The author uses a language in this novel that is a little more sophisticated than the language in her previous series of novels due in part to the setting of this novel. The language of this novel reflects the time period in which it is set as well as the social and educational backgrounds of the main characters.
