Who is Captain Fjalar Kraussa from Citizen of the Galaxy and what is their importance?

Captain Fjalar Kraussa is the captain of the starship Sisu. He manages all of the ships dealings with the outside world. Captain Kraussa receives the message that Baslim sends, from beyond the grave, through Thorby, after which, he takes Thorby away from the grave danger he is in on Jubble. He eventually becomes Thorby's second adoptive father.
