Born in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, Alice Henderson is a Quaker missionary, who has formed three missionary schools in the Appalacian Mountains. Over the years, Alice has taken an inordinate amount of care to become familiar with mountain culture and tradition, because of this, she is better able to share her faith and way of living with the people of the mountain.
