The Peter Wiggin in Children of the Mind is created accidentally by Ender during Jane's first attempt at effecting faster than light travel. Peter is created from Ender's childhood recollections of his brother during the brief interval when Jane moved him into "Outspace" where trillions of hungry aiuas exist craving a pattern to call them into existence.
