Why does Frank not try to escape from the Malmo prison in Sweden?

Conditions at Malmo are very humane compared to conditions at Perpignan. Frank is well fed, provided with medical care, and allowed to freely roam the building. He receives guests, can attend college classes and can earn money working in a parachute factory. He becomes friends with the guards.
