Why does Soneji throw a cup of coffee at a businessman?

Soneji is getting very angry at this point and feels his rage is becoming uncontrollable. He thinks he can do anything he wants, and to prove that he can, he throws a steaming cup of coffee at a businessman who passes him on the street. He laughs at the sight of the coffee dripping from the man's nose. It gives Soneji pleasure to feel as though he is in control of others.
