In Sabatini's novel, Captain Blood, the main theme is that of fighting injustice. You can see that portrayed in the initial catalyst action...that of his arrest because he was being a doctor and tending to a man who was wounded. Then, later, when he has been sentenced to be a slave on a plantation, we see injustice presented again. Then, later, as a pirate, Captain Blood begins to enact justice.
