The characters in the Franklin's Tale are rewarded because they are honorable in dealing with each other. Averagus and Dorigen are rewarded for agreeing that Dorigen should honor her bargain. Aurelius is rewarded for being honorable to Averagus and Dorigen by letting her out of the bargain.
