What is the significance of the visit with Ignorance and Want (the two little spirit children)? What moment from early on in the story is the reader reminded of?

The children "Ignorance" and "Want" in A Christmas Carol represent the poor and the vulnerable in Victorian society. They symbolize how the poor and vulnerable are neglected by the rich, rich people like Scrooge. I think we are reminded of Tiny Tim and his sufferings.
