Do you like Griffen? Why or why not?

I think Griffen is like any person who discovers a power that can circumvent the natural order of things. Like a Faustian bargain, Griffen loses himself in his new ability. Griffen is never really a sympathetic protagonist. I really felt no like or dislike for him.
