What is the theme in Brain Trust by Christopher Golden?

Conspiracy is the main theme in the book. The threads of an involved and dangerous conspiracy are woven throughout the story and are an integral part of the plot of "Brain Trust." Conspiracy theories are things of legend and are oftentimes just that. People who believe in conspiracies, even when facts prove them wrong are whispered about and considered whacky, on the fringe type of people. Just the term conspiracy theorist summons up an image of a nerdy fellow who looks to the sky for arriving aliens but looks at skepticism at the moon, fairly positive that our astronauts were not really ever there.
