A young witch who is next in line to be the high priestess of her family's cover, Miranda has dyslexia and sometimes casts spells incorrectly. This handicap may mean she can't fill the role her family has in mind. Kylie helps Miranda by providing a book about dyslexia which helps Miranda eventually correct one of her spells. Miranda and Della often bicker but are devoted to each other.
