Regarding the music store, Claude shows his love for Mr. Weisfeld after Mr. Weisfeld's death by fighting the city government, which wants to tear down the building which houses the music store and so much of Claude's past. Claude moves into the building and endures broken windows, threats, and an attack which leaves him with a broken arm to keep the building intact. Claude restores and modernizes the music store to honor the life Mr. Weisfeld has given him and to express his love for Mr. Weisfeld.
