Who is Simon McQueen (Sime) from Bloodsucking Fiends and what is their importance?

Simon is one of "the Animals," the night-shift workers at the Marina Safeway. Simon is twenty-seven, and he considers himself a cowboy and a poet. He is a daredevil, up for any dangerous stunt. Simon has two secrets. The first is that he can't read, which Tommy discovers one night when the scanners at the store are broken. Tommy tells Simon that he'll help him learn to read. Simon's second secret is that, because of a shared drug needle, he is dying of AIDS.
